ElmiraĮlmira is a story-driven horror game in which you play the role of a waylaid student on a field trip. Rainbow Friends may look somewhat harmless on the surface, but deep down there's a whole lot more to be cautious about, and it begs the question: in a world so cute and fluffy, how can anything be built with such wicked intentions? Or more importantly, how can you trust anything that moves? Play it for yourself and you'll soon discover all the answers you need to fill the gaps. To add context, each and every scare is enveloped in a predominantly story-driven experience in which you are tasked with surviving the sadistic trials conjured by a bunch of devilishly cruel fuzzies. If Poppy Playtime and Five Nights at Freddy's had a distant cousin, then it'd probably look a little something like Rainbow Friends, a Roblox original horror game that goes hard on the references and even harder on the endless jump scares. In essence, though, the idea is that you and a bunch of other players play tag in the dark one player massacres the victims, and the remaining players battle it out to survive the night and evade the monstrosities that loom between shadows. Let it be known that this is more than a game of cat and mouse squished into a Slender prototype for the Roblox kingdom. EvadeĮvade answers that one burning question that you've no doubt had lodged in your brain ever since Roblox first came to light: what if SpongeBob SquarePants was Slenderman? Merge this concept with a heavy dose of multiplayer madness, and you've got yourself the basic premise for one of Roblox's most popular horror games. It goes without saying that, if you're a fan of Ju-On, Fatal Frame, or Siren Blood Curse, then you'll definitely feel at home tiptoeing around The Mimic's ghostly locales and immersing in its vast collection of Japanese tall tales. True to the lore, each tale brings a multitude of notorious Japanese ghosts to a worryingly immersive adventure, each of which come swamped with puzzles, theatrics, and more jump scares than you could shake a stick at. If you're a dab hand at unraveling scroll after scroll of deeply disturbing Japanese folklore, then you're sure to find comfort in The Mimic, an episodic anthology that sees you living through a series of unsettling nightmares as various characters.
